Why Trainspotters are twats

Watch this video. This is why I cannot stand spotters. they seem to lose all comprehension of common sense when they get remotely near a train! The thing is, if he had of actually been hit, no thought would have gone to the driver, the police and undertakers, or the poor sods who have to clean up the train and repair it afterwards. Idiots like this should have no idea how dangerous they are, and have no regard for us poor gits that have to work on the railway every day.....

Shoreham's new bowl opens at last!

Spent saturday at the new Shoreham bowl, which could well be 'The' best bowl in the UK. Unfortunately to a nagging back I didnt have a skate but instead spent the day behind my camera getting some pics of all the action. The bowl is in a clover formation with the top section being at 6ft deep, with one of those sections being a speed pocket which almost goes to vert for building up speed. the bottom section is 8ft deep to vert and is a proper circular bowl, where as the top 2 bowls do have some straight wall. It has proper US sourced pool coping and neat challenges like a death box and tile stamp to give it that proper 'swimming pool' feel.
The end result is superb, everyone who skated it raved about it and couldnt wait to get in for more. There was some great skating going down at the opening event and big credit to Jelly, Steve and the rest of the action group who got this sorted after many years of campaigning and planning, and also to the local Council for having the balls to build something really special rather than throwing some metal quarter pipes on a strip of tarmac (Peacehaven take note!!!).
